Buzz on the Upcoming Iphone 5

iPhone 5 Release Date

In today’s world Apple is at the top of their game. The range of products they provide is almost as impressive as their turnover on product updates. It was less then a year ago that the company released the much anticipated Iphone 4. As a user of the Iphone 4 I can not only say that I am more then pleased with the product but that I am already anxiously awaiting for the next version Apple releases.

The much awaited release of the Iphone 5 is already being buzzed about. News has been circulating that the company could release the product as quickly as this year. The article states that according to a South Korean news site Apple not only plans to release the product but has the confirmed the release date for the fourth week in June.

While this buzz is as exciting for existing Iphone users as it is for upcoming Iphone users the information of the soon to be release may seem a little skeptical. It is highly unlikely that Apple, typically known to be hush hush about upcoming releases, would be unveiling such news. It is also just as unlikely that they would be releasing the product in both the United States and over seas on the exact same date, as this has never happened on other product releases.

Regardless of the release date for the product user’s of Apple products not only know that the Iphone 5 will eventually come upon on us but that it will be better then anything the mobile market has yet to see.

The Greatest Player in the History of Women’s College Basketball Career Comes to an End

She finished her collegiate career with 150 wins and only four losses. She led her team to two national championship titles (’09, ’10) and four Final Fours (’08,’09,’10,’11). She is a four-time All-American, two-time AP Player of the Year winner, three-time Wade Trophy winner – presented to the outstanding player in NCAA Division I – and the only women’s basketball player in Division I history to finish her career with 2,500 points, 1,000 rebounds, 500 assists, 250 steals and 150 blocked shots.

Oh, by the way, she also led her team on a NCAA record 90-game winning steak.

So, when Maya Moore walked off the court with 1.1 seconds left in the Connecticut Huskies, 72 – 63, loss against Notre Dame in the National Semifinals, we got one final look at the greatest women’s basketball player to ever suit up in a college uniform.

What makes Moore so special aren’t just her numerous records or career statistics. It’s her passion for game, leadership, basketball IQ and consistency that separate Moore from the rest.

With a target on her back since her freshman season, Moore led the Huskies through adversity, inexperience and injuries en route to a magical 90-game winning streak, surpassing the UCLA men’s 88-game winning streak – a record that lasted since 1974.

Moore didn’t just dominate women’s college basketball. She made the sport relevant for the first time. She put the Connecticut women’s basketball team in the national spotlight for a couple years and entertained us all in the process.

Because of this, she will be remembered as the greatest women’s college basketball player of all time.

Lady Gaga Donates New Songs Proceeds to Charity

“Born This Way” has topped the music charts since its release in February, but have you heard the country road version? This new version of the song has a sweet guitar and harmonic tone to it that will make you question which version of the song you like better. She even took the lyrics for a spin adding “If I wanna make it country, baby, then it’s Ok, cuz I was born, I was born, I was born this way, from London, Paris, Japan back to USA/ I was born on the road, I was born to be brave.” The words of the original version could be lost in the synthetic sound but in this version stripped of the electric sound seems to bring the content of the song to the front.

Lady Gaga announced shortly after this new version’s release that a portion of the proceeds from the country version will be donated to GLSEN. The Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network promotes an idea that everyone in every school community is valued and respected regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. It’s interesting that she would pick “Born This Way”, a very empowering song for the LGBT community, to be turned into a country song. Country music has never been an outlet for the gay community to turn to in a time of need but Lady Gaga seems to be out to change their minds.
