Since Mother’s Day is 3 days away, this is a procrastinator’s guide to last minute gift ideas that moms at any age will appreciate.

Jewelry is probably the most advertised item on television. This is because this is a gift you can never go wrong with, except if the jewelry is fake and the person’s skin turns green. Before deciding on a jewelry gift, be sure to know the person’s taste in jewelry, whether they like rings or necklaces, and if they’ll have an allergic reaction to fake gold or silver.

A trip to the spa is perfect stressed moms that need a little time off. You should consider giving her money to go, a gift card, or have time to bond and go with her. Consider going to a spa with a soothing and calming ambiance. This is probably one of the best ideas because, what girl doesn’t like to be pampered? Remember to keep in mind, most spas are expensive.

A coupon book is probably what you made your mother when you were seven, but it’s a timeless gift. There’s nothing better than something you made. Whether it’s made with a pen and paper or designed on a computer, your mom will appreciate the effort you put into it. Though some coupons could vary with age, timeless coupons could be breakfast in bed or a foot massage.

Shopping is almost every girl’s favorite past time. Whether it be for shoes, clothes, or decorations. Deciding on where to go can be tricky. To avoid this go to a place that will interest your mom. If she likes gardening take her to a place like Home Depot or Lowes for gardening supplies.  Also when shopping for apparel, it’s best to take her to an age appropriate store unless she likes older or younger items.

Pakistan Sits on American Stealth Technology

Navy SEALs used an advanced, previously unseen stealth helicopter model for the raid that killed Osama bin Laden. It is believed that the helicopters were used in order to evade Pakistani radar. One of the helicopters crashed during the raid, and part of it is currently in the hands of Pakistan’s government.

The SEALs used thermite grenades to destroy the helicopter’s body, but its rear section was left intact and taken away by the Pakistani military shortly after Monday’s raid. If Pakistan’s government refuses a request from Washington asking for the its return, there will certainly be a serious diplomatic rift.

Pakistan’s government has been the target of widespread suspicion since Monday’s raid revealed that Osama bin Laden was hiding in the Pakistani town of Abbottabad, very close a military academy. Pakistan’s close relationship with China has raised questions as to whether Pakistan will turn its back on America and sell the stealth technology to China. The Chinese military is believed to be in the early stages of developing an attack helicopter that would benefit from the technology.

Pakistan and China have an established military relationship. They are working jointly on a jet fighter project, and China has exclusive access to a Pakistani naval port.
