Their destination: Seychelles. This island country consists of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean, so don’t count on being able to find the new royal couple. Seychelles is located East of Africa and Northeast to Madagascar. It is a popular destination for celebrities because it is well secluded and very private.

“Civilization” to Invade Facebook

This summer, Sid Meier is taking his Civilization franchise to the platform of social media.

“Civilization” is one of the most popular strategy game franchises of all time. From the original game in 1991 to last year’s Civilization 5, the series has been loved by both gamers and critics.

But the latest entry, called “Civilization World”, will probably feature the series’s biggest changes. Meier was inspired to create a game for Facebook because of the strong “Civ” community. He wants to overturn all expectations for a “Facebook game”. While “Farmville” and similar games have no goals and very simple game play, “Civilization World” will contain all of the features of previous “Civ” games. Players will cooperate to build a strong, lasting civilization through military, economy, culture and science. Each game will consist of 200 players. Each player must manage his or her own city, and through teamwork, form empires that can expand and defeat others.

Meier is excited at the prospect of social gaming because he thinks its full potential has not yet been reached. He thinks that gamers will have to decide if social games can take a place alongside console and computer games.

“It’s just one more place to experience games,” he said. “Games are really taking over the world.”
