Band to Know: Two Door Cinema Club

Northern Ireland natives, Two Door Cinema Club, have succeeded at creating their own unique breed of electro-infused indie rock.

Since forming in 2007, the European gentlemen of Two Door Cinema Club have toured relentlessly and produced loads of catchy music in hopes of gaining a large fan base.Thankfully, their persistence has paid off.

After signing to French record label Kitsune Music, the band released their debut album, Tourist History, in March of 2010.  Needless to say, the album is certainly worth listening to.

Two Door Cinema Club is a much-needed breath of fresh air from the over-abundance of heavy rock bands recently dominating the airwaves.

Frontman Alex Trimble’s singing style is hauntingly similar to that of The Klaxons and The Kooks, while guitarist Sam Halliday and bassist Kevin Baird complete the trio with expert riffs and melodies.

Two Door Cinema Club's "Tourist History" is a must-have for any indie rock fan.

Tourist History feels like a 10-track-long dance party, full of upbeat songs with quirky titles.  The album’s first single, “Something Good Can Work,” was the first track released in the United States and was an immediate hit with underground music fans.
