Next iPhone Coming to Sprint?

Possible metal-back design for iPhone 5

A supposed leaked photo of the iPhone 5 with its metal-backed design.

Want an iPhone but are reluctant to switch carriers and risk getting spotty reception? Well if you’re with Sprint the wait may soon be over. The Wall Street Journal reports that starting this October, Sprint will be the next carrier in the U.S. to get the new version of the much-heralded smartphone. Considering the WSJ was the first to announce Apple’s arrival on Verizon, it’s safe to say that come October, Sprint customers will be able to jump on the iPhone bandwagon.

The real draw of the iPhone on Sprint is that, unlike Verizon and AT&T, Sprint is currently the only carrier in the U.S. to have true 4G service via WiMax.

The iPhone 5, while still mainly a mystery, is expected to be thinner, lighter, and faster than the current iPhone, while sporting an improved digital camera and Apple’s upcoming iOS 5 operating system.

Michele Bachmann Claims Acts of Nature are God Sent

She won’t be the first or last person to link God to natural disasters that wreak havoc on human well-being. Some people feel acts of nature are caused by an angry God who is upset that people on earth are not following His wishes. Do you agree with such a perspective? Many people were shocked by the 5.8 magnitude earthquake that shook parts of the East Coast last week. The wrath of Irene, a Category 1 hurricane, caused billions of dollars of destruction and killed more than 20 victims. Michele Bachmann, the GOP’s presidential candidate, considers both natural disasters a warning from God that should be acknowledged.

“I don’t know how much God has to do to get the attention of the politicians,” Bachmann said to supporters. “We’ve had an earthquake; we’ve had a hurricane. He said, ‘Are you going to start listening to me here? Listen to the American people because the American people are roaring right now. They know government is on a morbid obesity diet and we’ve got to rein in the spending.’ ”

“Of course she was saying it in jest,” Alice Stewart, spokeswoman for Bachmann’s campaign, said in a statement sent to some media outlets.

Do you think Bauchmann is playing a political game or were her comments innocuous?
