As Taylor Swift ends her song on stage, she climbs up the silver staircase on set. She looks out to the fans, who have been singing along to every song and lets them in on a little secret.

Swifts looks to her fans and tells them about her good friend Hayley Williams, the lead singer of the pop-punk band “Paramore” who was hanging out backstage.

Before she can complete her sentence, the crowd begins to cheer and the strong beats of “That’s What You Get,” pumps through the speakers. At this moment Williams begins to walk down the stairs and takes the show to an edgier level.

On September 16, 2011 Taylor Swift performed in Nashville, Tennessee for her “Speak Now World Tour.”

While in Tennessee, Swift surprised fans with a surprise performance of Paramore’s “That’s What You Get” single from their “Riot!” album released in June of 2007.

Swift sang along with Williams who rocked the stage in her red skinny jeans, black vest and legendary red hair.

Both artists brought up the energy level at the show with this surprise performance.

However, fans of Paramore and Swift that could not make it to the show did not miss out completely.  A recording of the performance was posted on Twitter, the official Paramore blog and Facebook today.

Following the show, Williams writes about the admiration and respect she has for her friend Swift as an artist.

“Of all the friends I have who play/write music, I’ve never seen anybody do it all with as much heart and grace as Taylor does,” wrote Williams.

The performance has reached 18,912 “likes” within six hours on Facebook.

With a fearless show by Swift and Williams’ stage presence and killer performance the popularity of this video only continues to rise.

Mysterious Sounds Echo ‘Round the World

Unearthly noises that have been described as rumbling, trumpets, or passing trains have been resounding from North Carolina to southern Sweden.  Various Youtube videos demonstrating these strange sounds have been posted throughout the years and by countless witnesses to the anomalies.  Scientists are perplexed by the phenomena, not directly seeing a viable explanation for them.

However, one scientist, David Hill, has come up with possible answers to the mystery.  The noises could be caused by a range of things, from waves to meteors, from sand dunes to earthquakes.  Sometimes nature’s motions are large enough to create noise, but too small for humans to perceive the shakes and quakes.

The unearthly sounds are nothing new.  Reports of strange noises have been documented since 1880.  Now everyone can know about them though due to today’s advancement in communication.  These strange happenings will continue to happen periodically throughout the world.

Troy Davis’ Final Plea

Rabies Could Help Cure Cancer

A strand of the rabies virus called the vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV) has been tested and studies show that it is successful in destroying cancer cells.  A part of the problem with certain cancers is that the immune system does not recognize them, and thus cannot defend itself  from these malignant cells.  The VSV strand takes care of this problem by also killing the molecules that make these cancers unidentifiable.

The study was done at the University of Copenhagen by Professor Søren Skov and PhD student Helle Jensen.  The discovery was made when Jensen was doing a project to help improve treatment by making the immune system stronger.  Part of this study involved infecting human cancer cells with the VSV and studying their reaction to it.

This new discovery could be the key to winning the fight against cancer.
