Meet the ‘Other’ Candidates

Not impressed with the buzz around the candidates running for president? If Obama, Perry and Romney aren’t doing it for you, there’s a chance one of these candidates will.

Roseanne Barr declared her intent to run for president on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. She filed her application with the FEC in May 2011. She represents the Green Tea Party and manages a blog and campaign Facebook page.

Famous for his internet meme and slogan, “The Rent is Too Damn High,” Jimmy McMillan, a Vietnam Vet and karate expert could use a few votes and maybe a nice clean shave.

Robert Burck, The Naked Cowboy, is running as an independent.

Democratic Vermin Supreme has strict tooth-brushing laws, promises ponies for all and funds for time travel research. He wears a boot on his head and carries a giant toothbrush. He’s a strong advocate for organ donation. Four years ago he donated a kidney to his mother.

Kathyern Lane, a 45-year-old mother, plans to “get America back on track and make her strong again.” This Indiana native says her “childhood resembles the ‘Lifetime’ movies people see on television. Her work history includes waitress, babysitter, security guard, real estate agent, aircraft electrician and avionic lead. She’s volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, the Red Cross, as well as community organizer.

Zubi Diamond is officially running as a Republican, although his website states he is against all established parties. he is the author of Wizards of Wallstreet, which apparently is, “the most important book in the country today that everyone should read,” his website states.

All because of a court, 67-year-old Craig Freis is allowed to list his legal middle name, “Tax Freeze,” as such. His “only political victory to date was at the lowest step of  the political ladder when he was elected to the Democratic Party Central Committee in his home state of California.”

The Boston Tea Party’s nominee is Tiffany Briscoe, a former Democrat.

“Average Joe” Schriner is an Independent who learned how to end homelessness, end global warming “for good,” balance the national budget and handle immigration concerns, all from his extensive campaigning in four bids of the presidency. He is also not a supporter of space travel.

Representing the Jedi party is Brian J. Moran.

Florida Pastor Terry Jones is running as an Independent with the “Stand Up America Now” campaign. You might remember him from the 2010 request from President Obama asking Mr. Jones not to publicly burn the Quaran on the 9/11 anniversary. Six months later, he did so anyway, causing riots in Afghanistan.
