Teen Uses Twitter to Find Porn-Star Prom Date

Mike Stone, from Oakdale, Minnesota, is using the social media site Twitter to find a porn-star date for his prom on May 12.  So far, Stone has over 600 tweets to over 100 different porn-stars, none of which have accepted his offer.

Reddit posted about Stone’s search on Saturday which brought the teenager instant fame in the social media world. Many have tweeted to Stone with their responses and opinions on the issue.

Most of the porn-stars that Stone has contacted have said that they are too old for the teenager and going to his prom would cause controversy.

Even if one of the stars says “yes”, Stone’s high school will most likely deny his request.

Actor George Clooney and a group of U.S. lawmakers were arrested on March 15 for protesting outside of the Sudan embassy.

The protest was over Khartoum and his refusing of aid that would reach a volatile border region, where thousands of people are short of food.

The protest involved Clooney, his father Nick, and Democrat U.S. Representatives Jim McGovern (Massachusetts), Al Green (Texas), Jim Moran (Virginia), and John Olver (Massachusetts), who were all arrested.  Also arrested were Ben Jealous, president of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), and Martin Luther King III, the son of the U.S. civil rights hero.

The activists had ignored three police warnings to leave, and were all led away to a van by the Secret Service.

“We need humanitarian aid to be allowed into Sudan before it comes the worst humanitarian crisis in the world, “ Clooney told reporters prior to his arrest.

Clooney, and the others, posted bail quickly after and were released later in the day.

Sudan is currently denying U.S. concerns regarding famine in South Kordofan and Blue Nile.  Khartoum has also restricted access of the United Nations and foreign aid to the region.

NIT Stars To Look Out For

On March 16, the NIT resumed with it’s 16 teams.  Here’s a list of players to look out for during the basketball games.

  • Tony Wroten, Washington Huskies: Wroten is a guard for the Huskies, but plays more like a forward.  If his passing stats catch up with his slash-and-dash shooting skills, who could bring his team to victory.
  • Herb Pope, Seton Hall Pirates: The most dominant player on the team, Pope is often referred to as a double-double machine.  The problem with Pope is that he doesn’t touch the ball enough, and is always left to shoot.  If Pope becomes the focal point of the offense, the Pirates will surely win.
  • Frantz Massenat, Drexel Dragons: Massenat is such a good player, that he can carry the Drexel offense all on his own, which he has done several times.  He’s one of the best sharpshooters in the league, which could lead the Dragons’ to their win.
