AOL Sells Patents to Microsoft

Yesterday, AOL agreed to sell 800 patents to Microsoft for $1.056 billion. After the deal, AOL’s shares surged over 45% as AOL promised to it shareholders part of the proceeds.

In recent years, AOL has been struggling to stay afloat. The company is hoping that this new deal will help the company to keep its investors.
