North Korea Fails to Launch Rocket

Despite warnings of isolation, North Korea launched a rocket on April 6.

However, the embarrassing part of all of this for North Korea was that is disintegrated just moments after it was launched.

North Korea has tried launching several rockets before, but this is the first time the country has publicly acknowledged the failure.

The communist country had been previously warned not to launch rockets, in fear that one day they may develop an intercontinental ballistic missile that could one day carry a nuclear warhead.

In response to the launch, the US has decided against sending food aid to North Korea to help feed its malnourished population, which was part of an agreement between the two countries.  Just a few weeks ago, the US and North Korea had reached an agreement that would have the states providing food aid in exchange for the suspension of uranium enrichment and refraining from testing long-range missiles.
