K-9 Raise Alert in Case of Missing Girl From Arizona

In the case of the missing six-year old from Arizona, Isabel Mercedes Calis, FBI K-9 dogs hit on some items leading authorities to take over her house.

Though the details are suspicious surrounding the disappearance, local authorities have not identified any suspects, and asked for the warrant to the house just to make sure everything is done properly. The family was more than willing to help out the authorities and the Tuscan Police Chief Roberto Villasenor.

There has been an extensive search in a three-mile radius around her neighborhood, as well as contact with all the registered sex offenders in the area. Due to her three feet, eight inch stature, it would be easy to overlook her and the authorities are making sure to check every nook and hiding spot.

Susan Sarandon Believes Government is Spying on Her

Actress Susan Sarandon believes that the government has been spying on her.

Sarandon, who is also an anti-war activist, says she was denied security clearance for a White House visit and also claims that the government has been tapping into her phone.

At a Q&A session at the Tribeca Film Festival, Sarandon spoke of her concerns with filmmaker and fellow activist Micael Moore.

“We know we’re under surveillance.  I’ve had my phone tapped,” she said.

Moore, who directed the 2004 documentary “Fahrenheit 9/11” and 2009’s “Capitalism: A Love Story,” also spoke to the crowd at the Q&A.  He believes he’s been the target of a “disinformation campaign” by the federal government.

“The reason I’m a poster boy on Fox News and Rush Limbaugh is because my films reach a large group of people in the middle, not just on the left,” he said.

The trial of William Balfour, the man accused of killing Jennifer Hudson’s mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew, opened Monday with Hudson giving a testimony.

Many were surprised to see Hudson called as the first witness after opening statements were finished. According to Phil Turner, a Chicago attorney, putting the star on the stand was a shrewd move by prosecutors.

“ It rivets the jury,” explained Turner. “For better or worse it increases the importance of the case in jurors minds.”

Hudson’s presence will continue to be noted; because she has already testified, she will be allowed to sit in on the rest of the trial.

“Now the jury knows everything about her and that she’s in the courtroom only accentuates that this is an important case,” finished Turner.

Hudson, wearing a black dress, had no testimony regarding the shooting of her family, but offered a moving statement about her family. Hudson included her reaction to learning her sister, Julia Hudson, planned to marry Balfour.

“None of us wanted her to marry him,” said an emotional Hudson. “We did not like how he treated her.”

If Balfour, who pleaded not guilty to the three counts of first-degree murder, is convicted of at least two counts, he will face a mandatory life sentence.
