Charlotte Farris, 23, was pronounced dead shortly after falling 30 feet from her third floor balcony from Teix Hotel in Magaluf on the island of Majorca.

A guest at the hotel said he remembered Farris and another accompaying female friend appearing drunk but “not staggering”, both at the time they arrived as well as when they returned to the hotel some hours later.

Farris, an aspiring police officer, attended Monk’s Walk School in Welwyn Garden City.

Her divorced parents issued a public statement on May 4^th saying, “Charlotte was a very loving and much loved daughter, sister, granddaughter and friend. She will be greatly missed by  everyone who knew her. We are still trying to come to terms with our devastating loss.”

While Spanish investigators are not publicly commenting on the case, a source disclosed that the accident occurred when Farris’ friend was in the bathroom.

Farris’ fatal accident comes as the third death off a balcony for a Brit on the specific island.
