Gavin Smith, a 57-year-old 20th Century Fox movie executive, has been reported missing since Tuesday, May 1.
Last Friday, the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department distributed a special bulletin in order to seek public help that could possibly aid the investigation connected to the disappearance. Also, USC basketball player Evan Smith, Gavin’s son, asked for public help through a Twitter message that reads, “’Please help me find my Dad. Retweet to get the word out please.”
The L.A. Sheriff’s Department lists Smith as being 6ft 6in tall and 210 lbs, “with grey hair with blonde highlights, green eyes, a goatee…a 5in scar on his calf and a 4in scar on his inner right wrist.” He was also wearing “purple pants and black and grey shoes” on the last day he was seen. Finally, a police bulletin states that Smith was last seen driving his black 200 Mercedes 420E sedan sometime between 9-10 p.m. in a location close to his Oak Park home.
Fox Distribution president Chris Aronson says that there had been no noticeable problems with Smith that may have contributed to his disappearance.
Anyone with information regarding Gavin Smith is requested by the Sheriff’s Department to contact its Homicide Bureau, Missing Person’s detail.
