A 75-year-old Utah man and his wife were awoken by a light in his office. The man realized he was being robbed early Saturday morning when he walked in on the 18-year-old man going through his desk.

The 18-year-old punched the man in his face and fled from the scene.

However, the young man left an important piece of information behind, his homework.

Orem police reportedly found the burglar’s USB containing his homework in an abandoned backpack in the backyard, leading them to identify the 18-year-old as Dallas Naljahih.

According to police, Naljahih was found sleeping at his house along with evidence connecting him to the burglary.

Needless to say, it looks like his homework is going to be a little late.

Fugitive Penguin Surviving in Tokyo Bay

A one-year-old Humbolt penguin that escaped from a Japanese aquarium back in March has been spotted in the Tokyo Bay.

This penguin, known as penguin 337, escaped from Tokyo Sea Life Park after scaling at 13-foot-high wall and making its way through a barbed wire fence.

Officials from the park feared that 337 would not survive in the busy waters of the bay with the constant traffic headed to the heavily populated Tokyo.

According to Reuters, park officials said that 337 had not gotten any skinnier over the two months he has been gone.

337 appeared to be making meals of small fish during the day and finding an onshore resting place at night.

337 was filmed by a Japanese coast guard patrol on May 7, 2012, however the crew was unable to catch the penguin.

The NAACP has announced that they endorse same-sex marriage.

On May 19, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People’s board voted at a leadership retreat in Miami over whether they would support same-sex marriage.  The association decided to back the resolution supporting marriage equality, as they see the position consistent with the equal protection provision of the U.S. Constitution, as well as believe it’s a civil right.

In a statement, Board Chairwoman Rosyln M. Brock said, “The mission of the NAACP has always been to ensure political, social and economic equality of all people.  We have and will oppose efforts to codify discrimination into law.”

The NAACP vote comes only two weeks after President Barack Obama announced his support for gay marriage.

Currently, same-sex marriage is legal in six states and the District of Columbia, but 31 states have now passed amendments to ban it.

Facebook CEO’s Attire Deemed Immature

Is Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg’s attire a sign of immaturity?

When Facebook launched their pre-IPO roadshow on May 7th, Zuckerberg and others met investors in cities across the United States, including New York and Boston.  They were their to pitch the company’s stock to potential investors.

At the first stop New York, Zuckerberg wore his classic hoodie sweatshirt.  Many attendees have criticized the young CEO for his choice to wear jeans and a hoodie, while the most influential investors were in suits.

Michael Pachter, managing director with Wedbush Securities, believed Zuckerberg’s decision to wear his hoodie actually showed investors he didn’t care that much.

“He’s going to be him and he’s going to do what he always done.  I think that’s a mark of immaturity,” Pachter said.

He believes that if Zuckerberg continues this lack of respect, he might not be suited to remain as the CEO of the company.
