A 23-foot-by-12-foot lot on East 11th Street, New York City, has recently been named the most expensive parking space in “the city that never sleeps.”
Priced at $1 million, the parking space is worth more than “New York’s $115 illegal parking ticket paid everyday for 23 years.” Prudential Douglas Elliman vice chairman Dolly Lenz, however, believes that the privacy it provides offsets the high price.
The space will be offered to a resident of the adjacent eight-story loft that will be turned into six luxury condominiums, although the purchase involves a separate sales contract and deed.
