Former assistant Penn State football coach Jerry Sandusky will be facing all 52 counts of child sex abuse. Judge John Cleland ruled against the defense’s argument to dismiss the counts because they were based on hearsay.

Sandusky’s attorney, Joe Amendola, also claimed that the charges were without merit and the evidence was hollow. This was not Amendola’s first request for the charges to be dismissed against his client.

This week, the 16-member jury for the trial was chosen in Bellefonte, Pennsylania. Nine of the jurors have ties to Penn State in some way. The trial will officially begin with opening statements on Monday.
