Country singer Taylor Swift has supposedly crashed a wedding.

On Aug. 22, reports that the 22-year-old singer and her boyfriend, 18-year-old Conor Kennedy, had crashed Liam Kerr and Kyle Kennedy’s wedding circulated.  Swift’s rep denied the reports, but “Today” show host Kathie Lee Gifford has confirmed the news.

“The truth is, because I was there, Vicki’s account is accurate,” Gifford said, and she did confirm the rumors that Taylor and Conor were asked to leave twice.

On Aug. 22, Victoria Gifford Kennedy, the bride’s mother, told the Boston Herald that Conor had texted her an hour prior to the wedding asking if they could attend the wedding.  Victoria asked that they not attend, but the couple supposedly showed up anyway, and when she confronted Swift and asked her to leave, the singer supposedly didn’t listen.

Gifford has given Swift the benefit of the doubt however, explaining “I’m not sure she didn’t know she was invited.”

But she also explained the reason that Victoria did not want the singer at the wedding was that it would distract others from her daughter’s big day.

“It’s the bride’s day, and that was Vicki’s other concern,” Gifford said.
