After struggles with infertility, Bill and Giuliana Rancic have welcomed their first son via gestational surrogate.

Edward Duke Rancic was born on Aug. 29, in Denver, at 10:12 p.m.  His parents were in the delivery room, and he was first held by Giuliana and his cord was cut by Bill.

“The ‘Duke’ has landed!  Edward Duke Rancic was welcomed into the world last night at 7 lbs., 4 oz. G & I feel blessed beyond words…We did it!” Bill, 41, announced via Twitter.

E! news anchor Giuliana, 37, had previously struggled with infertility, suffered a miscarriage, and battled breast cancer.

The couple had announced they were expecting a child in April, and in June, shared that they’d be having a boy.
