Miami Dolphins running back Reggie Bush has announced that he and his girlfriend are expecting a child.

Bush, 27, and Lilit Avagyan, 23, have been dating for a year.

The Armenian-born Avagyan lives in Los Angeles and is a professional dancer.  She’s started her own ballet academy and has made appearances on Dancing with the Stars.

“We’re pretty excited.  We’re bringing a new life into the world, and to raise a child is a gift for a man and woman,” Bush said on the Florida radio program, the Paul and Young Ron Morning Show.

Prior to dating Avagyan, Bush had dated Kim Kardashian for three years.
