National Polls Show Obama and Romney Basically Tied

Polls show that just two days before the election, President Barack Obama and Republican nominee Mitt Romney are virtually tied.

In a NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll Obama has the support of 48% of likely voters, while Romney has 47%.  Just two weeks ago, the same poll showed the candidates each having 47% of the nations support.

In a separate poll, this one done by ABC News/Washington Post, that was released early on the morning of Nov. 4, it indicated both Obama and Romney had 48% of support.

The sampling errors in these polls is plus or minus 2.55 percentage points.
