No.1 Alabama Falls!

After a emotional Win at LSU last week looked t0 be sure on their way to the National Championship.unfortunately they had a rude awakening.Texas A&M who just joined the SEC conference this year where predicted by many people to not even be a factor in the conference.  Johnny Manziel and No. 15 Texas A&M shook up the national championship race by beating No. 1 Alabama 29-23.  Manziel passed for 253 yards and rushed for 92 and led the Aggies to a 20-0 first-quarter lead.Alabama started to look like its normal self in the 2nd half but it was too little to late.

The result leaves just three unbeaten teams left – Oregon, Kansas State and Notre Dame. Without a loss by two of those teams, it is unlikely the Crimson Tide can work its way back  to the national title game.

Jared Lee Loughner, the man who pleaded guilty to a deadly Arizona shooting rampage, has been sentenced to life in prison.

U.S. District Judge Larry Burns sentenced Loughner, 24 to life in prison.  He was convicted over the January 2011 attack that left six people dead, and wounded former U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, as well as several others.

Loughner had pleaded guilty to 19 federal charges, under an agreement that guaranteed that he would spend the rest of his life in prison, without the possibility of parole.

Both sides had reached the deal after a judge had declared that Loughner was able to understand the charges made against him.  After the shooting, he had been diagnosed with schizophrenia.

This hearing had marked the first time victims could confront Loughner.

Gifford’s astronaut husband, Mark Kelly, did the talking for her.

“Her life has been forever changed.  Plans she had for our family and her career have been immeasurably altered.  Every day is a continuous struggle to do those things she once was so good at,” Kelly said.

It’s currently unclear as to where Loughner will be sent to serve his federal sentence.

A judge has denied Halle Berry’s request to move her daughter from Los Angeles to France.

Berry, 46, who is engaged to French actor Olivier Martinez, 46, wanted to move her 4-year-old daughter Nahla to France, citing stronger paparazzi laws as the reason.

Nahla’s father is Gabriel Aubry, a Canadian actor and model, who primarily works in L.A.  He objected the the move.

Aubry, 36, and Berry, split in 2010, after having dated for four years.  Their relationship afterwards became strained due to custody issues, including Berry’s demanding filming schedule.

The former couple eventually came to an amicable agreement, but with the help of a judge.

David Petraeus resigned as director of the Central Intelligence Agency on Nov. 9

Petraeus cited infidelity as his reasoning for resigning.

“After being married for over 37 years, I showed extremely poor judgement by engaging in an extramarital affair.  Such behavior is unacceptable, both as a husband and as the leader of an organization such as ours.  This afternoon, the President graciously accepted my resignation,” the general, 60, said in a message to staff.

Extramarital affairs are an issue of national security for the C.I.A. since it can open an official in a highly sensitive post to blackmail.

Petraeus became director of the agency in 2011, following 37 years in the Army.  Due to President Obama’s re-election on Nov. 6, he was expected to remain in his position.

“Going forward, my thoughts and prayers are with Dave and [wife] Holly Petraeus, who has done so much to help military families through her own work.  I wish them the very best at this difficult time,” the President said in a statement.

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber have broken up.

“She broke up with him about a week ago.  With them being apart so much it got complicated.  She had some trust issues.  It’s not easy, but the relationship needed to end,” a source told PEOPLE.

The actress, 20, and the singer, 18, officially stepped out as a couple in February 2011, and fought off breakup rumors in August 2011 and July 2012.

Rumors of a split during the last couple weeks had arisen and hit a high note when Bieber was spotted seeing The Lion King on Broadway with a group of people, which included 19-year-old model Barbara Palvin.
