Kevin Clash, who’s best known as the voice of Elmo on Sesame Street, is no longer facing claims that he was involved in an underage sexual relationship.

The puppeteer, 52, had been granted a leave of absence from the program earlier in the week due to an accusation from an unidentified male that claimed Clash had been having sex with him when he was 16-years-old.

On Nov. 13, he law firm that represents the accuser, dropped the charges.

The accuser “wants it to be known that his sexual relationship with Mr. Chlas was an adult consensual relationship.  He will have no further comment on the matter,” the statement from Andreozzi & Associates stated.

Clash had previously admitted to being in a consensual relationship with the male at some point, but states that the man, now 23, was not a minor at the time they first got together.
