Lindsey Vonn has suffered a serious crash on the opening day of the Alpine World Championships in Austria on Feb. 5.
The Vancouver gold medalist lost her ski after a tough landing and slid off course into a gate before she came to a stop.
Vonn supposedly has a tibial plateau fracture. This type of fracture is a break in the shinbone near the knee and affects stability and motion.
