A private California preschool is shutting down amongst allegations that lack of supervision led to sexual encounters between the students.
At the First Lutheran Church of Carson School in Carson, Calif., some of the 4-to 5-year-old students in the preschool class would engage in oral sex during nap time, in the tunnel slide on the playground, and in an outside bathroom.
Attorney Greg Owen plans to file a lawsuit in Los Angeles County Superior Court on behalf of the students, but is waiting for more students to come forward.
“Their lives will be ruined in many ways. And we know there are many more,” Owen said of the students.
The school has been shut down due to improper student-teacher ratio, and church administrators insist the alleged sexual incidents had nothing to do with the closure.
The administration learned of the sexual encounters problem when a teacher caught a girl performing oral sex on a 4-year-old boy in the school bathroom.
The mother of the daughter told KABC, “I said, ‘Where did you see this? How did you know that this was something to do?’ She said, ‘I saw another little girl do it.’ I said, ‘Well, where?’ ‘Here at school.’ ‘When?’ ‘During nap time.’”
Another parent told KABC that his 4-year-old son said he would receive oral sex from a 5-year-old girl at school. The boy told his father about how it went down in the classroom, bathroom, and on the playground.
But, with the mid-semester closing of the school, parents are now having trouble finding other schools.
“Parent’s are saying, ‘My child is now a predator. Now how can I let him go to another school?’” Owen said.
