Chicago Teen Shot Just Hours After Obama’s Gun Violence Speech

A Chicago teenager died just hours after President Barack Obama gave a speech about gun violence in the city.
18-year-old Janay McFarlane, who left behind a 3-month-old son, was shot in a North Chicago alley on Feb. 15.
Her younger sister, 14-year-old Destini Warren had been among the group of high school students who stood behind Obama when he spoke in Chicago. Obama had cited that gun violence killed 443 people in the city last year, and used this as reason for why children need community wide support to help them believe they can improve their lives through education and hard work.
Two people have been called in for questioning by police, who are working to piece together the final moments of McFarlane. Both people might have knoqleged about the homicide.
