“Blade Runner” Oscar Pistorius has been granted bail over his case involving the murder of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp.

Pistorius will be released on U.S. $114,000 bail.

Chief Magistrate Desmond Nair announced his decision on the afternoon of Feb. 22.  Over the past four days, both authorities and Pistorius’s legal team agreed that he killed Steenkamp, 29, but the athlete is arguing that he killed her accidentally after he mistook her for an intruder.  He’s currently being charged with premeditated murder.

Nair decided on his decision after the prosecutor failed to establish Pistorius as a flight risk.
