Katy Perry and John Mayer have split again.

The couple had been dating for seven months this second time around.

Mayer, 36, and Perry, 28, were first linked in summer of 2012, less then a year after the pop star divorced comedian Russell Brand.  And while the two had split briefly last August, they had quickly reconciled and embarked into a full on relationship.

As recently as last month, Mayer had spoken of their relationship, describing it as “very human,” and even spoke of marriage.
