Oscar Pistorius Maintains Innocence

The murder trial of South African Olympian Oscar Pistorius  reached new heights when Pistorius took the stand a few days ago. While on the stand Pistorius broke down crying as the prosecutor repeatedly told him he shot his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on purpose.

Pistorius claims that he thought an intruder was present in his bathroom, and in a state of panic he reached over grabbed his gun and shot through the door. It was only when it was to late did he realize he had shot and killed his girlfriend.

However, prosecutors say the story goes a little differently. They assert that on the morning of Valentines Day 2013, Pistorius and Steenkamp had an argument and Steenkamp locked herself in the bathroom. Following that Pistorius, in his state of anger, went and grabbed his gun, and then purposely shot through the door with the intent to kill Steenkamp.

It is estimated that the trial will go on for at least another month. What do you think? Is Pistorius innocent or guilty?
