Woman Arrested After Being Trapped in Chimney

A woman was arrested Sunday after illegally entering a home through its brick chimney, according to KTLA 5.

At 5:45am, deputies responded to a Thousand Oaks home after a caller reported that a woman was stuck in the chimney of the home.

Genoveva Nunez-Figueroa, 30, was stuck 8 feet deep inside the chimney for approximately two hours.

According the homeowner, he and Nunez-Figueroa had gone on dates about six times after meeting online, however, the relationship recently ended.

The chimney was lubricated with dish soap before Nunez- Figueroa was lifted out in a stokes basket with a ladder truck, according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department.

Nunez-Figueroa was extracted from the chimney at 8:22A.M. and transported to Los Robles Hospital & Medical Center for evaluation.

Authorities arrested Nunez-Figueroa for entering a residence illegally and proving false information to a police officer, according to KTLA 5.

An Oklahoma man beheaded a woman, and stabbed another after being fired from a food processing plant Friday, according to ABC News.

Alton Nolen, of Moore, Okla., was fired from Vaughan Foods earlier this morning at the human resources office.  He then attacked two women in the front office of another building in the facility.

Nolen, 30, severed the head of Colleen Hufford, 54, with a knife that is regularly used at the plant.

Traci Johnson, 43, was then repeatedly stabbed by Nolen until he was shot by the company’s chief operating officer, Mark Vaughan, who is also a reserve sheriff’s deputy, according to ABC News.

The FBI was called into the case by local police “due to the manner of death and the initial statements of co-workers,” according to the Moore Police Department.

Grandfather Kills Family, Then Himself

A Bell, Florida man shot and killed his 28-year-old daughter and her six children before killing himself Thursday night, according to USA Today.

Authorities responded to a 911 call made by Don Charles Spirit, 51, at about 4:00pm Thursday.

Spirit had contacted officials explaining that he was considering doing harm to both himself and others.

After authorities arrived, they found Spirit’s daughter, 28, and her five children ranging from ages 3-months-old to 11, shot and killed in the home.  Spirit later killed himself, according to Fox News.

Authorities identified Spirit’s daughter as, Sarah Spirit, and her children as Destiny Stewart, 5 , Kylie Kuhlmann, 9, Kaleb Kuhlmann, 11, Jonathan Kuhlmann, 8, Brandon Stewart, 4, and Alanna Stewart, who was born in June of this year.

Spirit had a previous arrest record, according to authorities.

In 1990, he was arrested under a felony fugitive warrant.

Spirit was charge with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon as a result of him fatally shooting his 8-year-old son in a hunting accident, according to Fox News.

Spirits other arrests include drug charges as well misdemeanor battery.

Authorities have declined to comment on a motive, stating that it is currently an ongoing investigation.
