Glee actress and singer Charice Pempengco has come out.

Pempengco was being interviewed by Filipino talk show host Boy Abunda on The Buzz, when she was asked if she is a lesbian.  She replied in her native language Tagalog, “Yes…I am.”

She then explained why she chose to share the news on the show, “I have deep gratitude for the Filipinos because they are the ones who know who I really am.  …I don’t know what the problem is because for me, there is no problem with that.  So now I ask for forgiveness from those who don’t understand.  And those who cannot accept.  I apologize: I understand you.  To those who could accept, and who could accept me, thank you very, very much.  I just ant to say to all of you that I feel very light – that I can leave the house knowing I am not hiding anything.”

“I love myself, that’s why I’m able to do this,” Pempengco said, teary-eyed.

The singer, 21, had first rose to international fame after Ellen DeGeneres discovered a video of her singing on YouTube.  She was invited to perform on the show in 2007.

Pempengco made her debut as Sunshine Corazon, a foreign exchange student from the Philippines, on Glee during its second season.

Today weekend anchor Jenna Wolfe has announced that she and partner Stephanie Gosk, an NBC News correspondent, are expecting!

In her announcement, Wolfe also publicly acknowledged for the first time that she is gay.

“This is the most exciting thing that has ever happened to us.  But I don’t want to bring my daughter into a world where I’m not comfortable telling everyone who I am and who her mother is,” Wolfe, 39, told PEOPLE.

The couple, who have been together for three years, began discussing starting a family recently.  After deciding that Wolfe would carry the child, she underwent artificial insemination with an anonymous donor.

The couple are also planning to wed soon, but admit they’re more excited for the baby.

“For a long time I had feared I would never have a child,” Gosk, 40, admitted.

Actor Victor Garber has confirmed that he is gay.

“I don’t really talk about it, but everybody knows,” Garber, 63, told Greg Hernandez of the blog Greg in Hollywood.

The actor, who is most famous for playing Jack Bristow on Alias, has never kept his sexual orientation a secret, but this is the first time he publicly acknowledged it.

In an interview just last year with a magazine in his native Canada, Garber has said, “My companion Rainer Andreesen and I have been together almost 13 years in Greenwich Village.  We both love New York.”

Andreesen, who is an artist and model, accompanied Garber to this year’s Golden Globes.
